I think part of my reluctance to post is the fact that I've been cross-posting my entries both to this blog as well as my LiveJournal and Blogger blogs, because (I'm dumb, but that's besides the point) I know that there are folks who will read this blog, and then there are folks who'll only read my LJ, or a very select few who will only read the Blogger one. So, I post entries to all three, which takes extra effort -- which is probably a reason why I don't post as much.

To be honest, I could probably stop posting to the Blogger one and just urge those folks to read this blog instead. But, LiveJournal is tough: I actually think LJ has better comment-handling support than my blog does: LJ has threaded comments and email notification when someone replies to your comment. LJ also has cutesy features like "user icons" and stuff, which makes it fun ...

What to do ... what to do ...

It seems like all signs point to "post often" -- I guess I'll have to try and overcome that hurdle first.

I suggest:

* post often, but use clear titles
* make a separate feed for personal stuff (I have a tech-only feed)
* use categories and incorporate this into your feeds (e.g. "Filed under: Personal")
