1 Corinthians 10:13 (New International Version)
13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

This verse is important to me, because it explains how the hardships that are given to us are bearable. God gives us challenges up to what we can bear and that when we get tempted, he would always provide a way out. AMEN!

Joe, those laws are for a Jewish theocracy, they may have some value for us today, but the legal aspect is strictly a different jurisdiction. Knowing what's in the Bible better would make that clear. I highly recommend reading it; It is a good book.

One of my favorite verses is Col 2:8.
"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental principles of the world, and not according to Christ."

Romans 8:38-39

1 Corinthians 13:2
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 Peter 1:8-9
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Joe: Fortunately for me, I'm completely devoid of any kind of moral guide, what-so-ever. :-)

Heh. Mine was kinda tongue-in-cheek -- death penalty for backtalk -- but I do think an awful lot of people cite the Bible as their moral guide, without knowing what's actually in it.
