Thanks for reply to my comment, Dossy.

This makes a lot of sense...developing in a similar environment.

The BIG thing I don't get, otherwise, about Macs is why people are willing to pay such a high premium for the user experience. And mostly, I don't get that the UsrEX is that much better....it's just different.

Anyway, to each their own. I do have to confess, I am impressed by other Apple products...all versions of iPods, and of course, il supremo, iPhone.

I visited, briefly, the Prism launch too. Pretty cool. Thanks again for what you contribute here.

Thanks for stopping by, Bill.

As a software developer, MacOS X is really nice because it's all Unix-like under the hood. This means I can develop and run the software I work on that will run on Linux and Solaris and other Unix-based OS'es directly on my hardware vs. under virtualization like VMware or VirtualBox.

In the end, it really doesn't matter what the OS is as long as the applications you need are available and functions well. Anyone who tries to tell you different is trying to sell you something.

I use Chrome almost exclusively, but in a WinOS. I got no clue what you're talking about with things you'd like to see ('cuz I'm not a real geek...just a wannabe.)

I just don't get Macs. My wife is a creative and uses one...for word processing! My daughter is a creative and her uncle (a SERIOUS geek, who uses WinOS, exclusively) built a Hackintosh for her as a Christmas present....she thinks she has died and gone to Heaven. Whatev'

Nice blog....found you by backing out of the Twitter Karma thing...I'll be back.
